We constantly need to remind ourselves that delivering information as a one-way transmissive process is not necessarily the best way for people to learn about the things that we think are important for them to know. The free National Academies Press 2000 publication, How People Learn, highlights the importance of accounting for the fact that we all learn through the lens of our preconceptions.
